Its all the same

Often times, when witnessing to Muslims – I find that folks tend to think that Christianity and Islam are the same.

I often wonder if this thought it pushed by the governments onto the religious leaders as to avoid strife.

In the scriptures you will find verses like those that occur in Matthew 5, “If a man strikes you on one cheek, let him hit the other as well.”

Often times, I mention this verse to Muslims. Muslims generally believe that the Bible was changed, so I like to ask them “If it was changed why didn’t they take that part out to justify their actions: IE Crusades ?” However that is off topic.

When I quote this verse, often times Muslims stand proud and say that, that is also in the Quran. (It isn’t!)

Instead in the Quran we find this verse (which is a perfect contradiction.)

Quran 3:140

If a wound has afflicted you (at Ohud), a wound like it has also afflicted the (unbelieving) people; and We bring these days to men by turns, and that Allah may know those who believe and take witnesses from among you; and Allah does not love the unjust.

Today, I went through several verses like this with someone I had been sharing with for about six months off and on.

We then looked at this verse.

Quran 8:12

When your Lord revealed to the angels: I am with you, therefore make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.

After we finished our reading of these two verses, the person I was sharing with stated the following “This book (Quran) must be from Satan!”
