People groups
There has been much talk over the years over “unreached people groups”, however little action taken. There are many people groups that make up the Middle East: Arabs, Kurds, Assyrians, Turkmen, Bedouins, Roma, the list goes on…
You can find many books by different “experts” about reaching entire people groups.
There are so many ideas, plans and methods. However, there is little action being done. Lots of time in research but little in action.
I really wonder if these authors write these books from the comfort of a large home without having been out.
There are many ways that I suppose could actually work, however on the field it is rare to see people actually putting things into action.
More often it is common to see missionaries visiting here from the US or Europe only to go on a tourist trip with Church money under guise of being a prayer tour. Why do prayer tours need to involve all the popular tourists sights?
In terms of people groups how about people focus on a big one before going in on small ones. Like Muslim, now there is a people group that is neglected. Start talking to me about going after the smaller groups after there are more people to get involved.
Generally the Church (in the west) is always looking for new ways to do Church, but from here it simply seems like they are just simply trying to invent ways to avoid evangelism and discipleship. The Church here is very much effected by the body in the west and so here too it is very difficult to get someone involved in sharing Christ with Muslims.
We cannot expect the Muslim world to come to Christ without action.
