When doing evangelism, how often are you seeing your results multiplied? How many people have you seen come to Christ and also begin to share with others? What strategy do you have for the future?
Over the past few years, something that I constantly ask myself, “If I left, what would be different here?”
This is a good question to ask. When Christ sent out his disciples he asked them to “Make disciples” not simply “make converts”
There should be effort directly made on training up people to be able to share the Gospel. One of the things that make me the happiest is when I see someone that I have lead to Christ preaching the Gospel to others.
This last week, one of the folks that have came to Christ through our ministry here in Lebanon was punched in the face and detained for his spreading of the Gospel. To me, the fact that he is still wanting to preach the Gospel, is a good sign that we are doing something right.
There are many ways to teach people on how to share the Gospel, but the best is to simply take them with you, when you are doing it.
In Lebanon, we have freedom of speech so we are able to setup Bible distribution tables. From there, we are able to make contacts with people from all over the Middle East. However, in other contexts it is not so simple.
One of the tools we have that we make available to others are small printed Bible Stories. We take the pictures that are available These little stories cost us about a dollar each to produce and have no words inside. You can find the stories we use at AFC Bible Story sets. Simply print the stories 10 images per page, on cardboard paper. Then you can teach people the stories, and they can go and share with their families and friends.
