Let us pray for Saul
When I open up facebook, my updates are full of people posting, Pro Israel or Pro Palestinian or Pro Kurdish or Pro Turkmen or Pro whatever. Their pro pages always call for bloodshed on the behalf of the people they are wishing to support.
However as Christians what should our response be to all the bloodshed.
As a result of the massive killings by ISIS many people have been calling for military intervention. Although, this might eventually happen… As Christians should we praying like this?
But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you
How loving have your posts and comments been? Are you praying for those who persecute you?
Saul, was a religious man wishing to end Christianity. If the believers would have killed him, what would the long term result have been?
Saul was changed when he met Jesus on his way to Damascus.
Through one man, Rome left her idols.
If it only took one man to change Rome, should we not be praying for Saul of ISIS? Should we not be praying as we are commanded for those who persecute us?
Oh Lord, teach us this day to love our enemies.
Even Stephen as he was being slain for the Gospel, did not pray curses upon his killers but rather “Lord forgive them for they know not what they are doing.
